More than 30 years ago, Eisai Inc. defined its primary mission as giving first thought to patients and their families and increasing the benefits that health care provides. We call this human health care (hhc). Magnolia is the embodiment of this mission—programs and initiatives designed to help meet the evolving needs of patients and their families.
Eisai employees are dedicated to spending two to three working days each year interacting with patients, families and care partners. Launched in 2012, the Magnolia programs were developed to help address unmet needs identified through these interactions. The programs place a high value on face-to-face interaction with patients—supporting people as they navigate real-world challenges, while helping Eisai employees better understand their lived experiences and inform the work they do.

Magnolia Paws for Compassion provides resources to educate on the benefits animals provide for those living with diseases like epilepsy and Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, including pet care and planning support.
Magnolia Purpose in Planning is designed to help support those impacted by cancer or Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias in planning for the future. It can often be difficult for patients and loved ones to discuss legal and financial questions. Magnolia Purpose in Planning connects people affected by cancer or Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias to a library of relevant financial, legal and advance care planning resources, all on one website.
Meal Train is a shared online calendar that makes it easy for family, friends and neighbors to schedule and organize the delivery of meals for people affected by cancer or Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. When a friend or loved one is diagnosed with cancer or facing Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, people want to help but may not be sure how. Meal Train in partnership with Magnolia offers an easy and organized way to help.
